Garden Plots
You have probably noticed the activity around the wellness garden. Murphy
Landscaping has completed the extension of the garden and the addition of 6
more planters. Fourteen (14) tenants have secured plots for the 2017 planting
season (room for a few more). We hope to have an information session on planting
just prior to the new season. Thank you for your interest and support of the
O'Leary Wellness Garden.
Christmas Activities
Carol and Clarence have been busy with their supporters decorating the walkway,
lobby and community room. Our Christmas Tree, Nativity Scene and lighting is
most welcoming for our tenants and to all that visit the O'Leary Building.
Light Up For Christmas
December 06, 7 PM Council 6595 along with Fr. Peter will be lighting and
blessing our Nativity at the corner of Loch Lomond Rd. and Eugene's Way. As
we have always done, the Crèche will remain lighted until early in January
(Little Christmas) – for all to see as they pass by. Following the lighting
there will be a coral presentation and sing song of Christmas Music in the
Lobby/Community room. Hot Chocolate and Sweets will be provided.
Starting December 1 we ask that you turn on your patio light and leave the light on for the month of December. This green and red (alternate) lighting shows that the O’Leary Building enjoys the spirit of the season.
Christmas Exchange
Christmas Exchange – Carol & Clarence will be announcing plans for this
wonderful Christmas event. The interest and support by our tenants comes as no
surprise as you always raise to the cause.
Non Perishable Food Drive
Len Duffy and his council of Knights of Columbus have worked for many years
with the Loch Lomond Head Start. With the Christmas season upon us and the
increased demand for support Len has placed collection boxes in the lobby for
your donations. Congratulations to Len and his council and thank you to our
tenants for their support.
Carol will have additional information this month about other events and celebrations in the O'Leary Building and we look forward to those events which will wind up with our New Year's Eve party.
We are looking forward to a month full of activities and celebrations as we prepare for the big day – December 25, 2016.
